WHAT PEOPLE SAY    Many people view gambling as harmless fun, as far as it is practiced legally. Some forms of legalized gambling such as government - sponsored lotteries, generate revenue for programs that benefit the public. WHAT BIBLE SAYS   The  Bible makes no significant mention of gambling. Yet, it does reveals a number of guiding principles that answers the question "Is Gambling A Sin? "and what God feels about gambling. Consider The following  explanations. 1.) The nature of gambling - wining money at the expense of others - is at odds to the Bible's warning to" take heed and beware of Convetousness " (Luke 12:15).      Gambling is in fact fueled with Convetousness . Gambling institutions advertise big jack - pots while downplaying the poor odds of winning , because they know that the dreams of wealth prompt players to wager large amounts at the casinos. Rather than helping a person guard against greed, gambling promotes the desire ...

INTRODUCTION ;- Many are expert in prayer because they believe that through it they shall receive from God always, but unfortunately many have prayed without answer, such people in our mist should know that some prayers cannot be answered and those praying in sin will have their prayers hindered. So, we shall consider the following subheadings ;- 1. Prayers That Cannot Be Answered And Reasons . 2.Our Response And Prayers That God Answers . 1.PRAYERS THAT CANNOT BE ANSWERED AND REASONS . We all should know that not all prayers are answered. The prayer that is against the will of God cannot be answered, even Jesus Christ our Master, when He prayed, he knew only God's will should be done and that anything against God's will shall not be done and anything against God's will shall not be answered ( Matthew 26:39-42 KJV And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but...

Warning: God Will Destroy Humanity Again...  Our Father in heaven, the Almighty God is the Creator of heaven and earth and everything inside them whether in heaven or on earth or beneath the earth. Psalm 24:1 says,” The earth is the LORD’S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. 2 For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods. ” So, we can see from the above, that all things in the earth or in heaven or beneath the earth were created and established by Him. Genesis 1:1-2 reveals,” In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” By implication, everything inside the earth as had already been emphasized, was created by God. Br  John 1:1-3 also affirms,” In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 A...

THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL DATE: TUE, 3RD FEBRUARY, 2015. THEME: MURMURING BRINGS DEATH MEMORY VERSE: Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents. Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer. 1 Corinthians 10:9-10 TEXT: Numbers 21:5-6 5 And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread. 6 And the Lord sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died. MESSAGE: We have a song here that reads thus ‘Don’t murmur, don’t faint, the God of Chosen answers prayers.’ It has been tested and proved that God of Chosen answers prayers. I don’t know what you are passing through, murmuring cannot solve that problem. You should understand that God does what pleases Him, not what pleases you. Moreover, the thin...

WHOM WILL YOU BLAME SUMMARY OF SUNDAY'S MESSAGE DATE: 12:07:014 THE LORD'S CHOSEN CHARISMATIC REVIVAL MINISTRIES, LAGOS HQ. TOPIC: WHOM WILL YOU BLAME? MINISTER: PST. LAZARUS MUOKA TEXT: Dan4:31-34, Matt7:21-23, Luke13:26-28, Luke21:34-36. INTRODUCTION: When we shall cross over who will you blame, if you miss the rapture? Many people inside and outside the church continue to harden their heart not minding the consequences and preaching in the church and outside the church, some of this people claim to be saved, they claim to be workers, leaders and pastors yet their heart is far from God, they are specialist in calling on the Lord, they know all the languages in the church e.g. Sister, brother, brethre n etc but they do not do the will of God, Matt7:21, many of them will be disappointed on that day, those who are contentious, who have strife, are not doing the will of God, if you are like that and you are here, you need to amend from today, if you die in such condition, the ques...

"This know also, that in the last days perilous time shall come. For men shall be........covetous....."2 Timothy 3:1-2 friends, we are in end times, and this end times is a perilous time. Because the bible says, these last days, perilous time shall come. Perilous times is the most difficult time this world has ever pass through, we are in it already! It is a period when so many believers in Christ will miss the track. They will compromise their faith, for money and materials. They will compromise their faith for men, or women, immorality, drunkenness, and sexual perversion.etc. This end time is a period of apostasy, people will leave strong heavens doctrine of all round holiness and discipline to weak biblical teachings which only establish them on the world territory, and after death face judgment to hell! Because it lacks holiness, and discipline, which could guarantee their eternal life in heaven! And one of the end times virus which we are discussing today is, covetousnes...

"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lover of their own selves.." 2 Timothy 1-2 perilous times is the end time that we are in now! It is the most difficult times in the history of this world! Because Satan knows that the end times is here, and he knows that he has a short time. So all he is after is to make things to be very difficult. So that countless people in the world can go to perdition. And so that even believers in Christ can compromise their faith, and thereby come short of heaven. The difficulties we are talking about here is that believers in Christ will take the things of god so lightly, without much seriousness! The first end time’s spiritual virus the Bible talk about here is that men shall be lover of their own selves. Selfishness! That is the order of the day in the world today, even among believers in Christ . The reasons behind embezzling public funds and cheating here and there in public and spiritual settings i...

Many people have been possess by the devil to live out his works and deeds His mission is to subvert and subdue many who are careless to himself. The scripture said the devil is like a roaring lion looking who to devour. What are the fruits of unrighteousness? The book of Romans 1: 29 -31 clearing listed them as follows:                      Fornication,                      Wickedness,                      Covetousness,                       Maliciousness,                       Full of...

Casting all your care upon Him; for he careth for you. 1 Peter 5:7 Jesus cares, he is there with you to take your burden off from you right now, all you need to do now is to cast all your sorrows, failures, burdens upon Him and see him remove them in a flick of an eye. Human beings are the most doubtful of all creatures. They do things on their own, that is, depending on their human ability to accomplish everything even when in difficult situations. Some depend on their relatives for assistance. The man at the pool of Bethesda in John 5:7 complained that he ‘had no man’ to put him into the pool for his cleansing. God is always there to provide our needs. He wants us to trust Him at all time. It is disheartening to see “many seek the ruler’s favour…” without know that “…whosoever putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe (Proverbs 29:25, 26). Experiences have shown that when you put your trust and confidence in man, there is tendency th...

Have you ever thought of how you can receive something from God as believer in Christ? And you can’t obtain anything from God when faith is absent in your life. That is why we are looking at this essential virtue in Christian life, which is faith. Christian journey is built on faith and without faith it is impossible to please God because anybody that comes to Him must believe that He is a re-warder of them that seek Him with a pure heart. Faith is believing in unseen things, that is, trusting God to fulfill what he has said. This means you believe God’s promises even when what you requested from God is not yet in your hand. The Scripture puts it this way: “ N ow faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” Hebrews 11:1. When there is faith, doubt will be absent. It makes you to obtain from God and gives you hope for the future and eternal life with God. Many Christians today are suffering because; they have no faith in them. Witho...

Be ore I start, I will like to define light as a source of energy that makes things visible. It disperses darkness. “You are a light”, Jesus, teaching on the mount, he told the multitude; “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden” Matthew 5:14. You become light immediately you accept Christ Jesus as your Lord and Savior. You are saved to radiate your environment. Servants of Christ shine with His light in a society that is hopelessly lost, left to itself. Now answer this question; What is the basic function of light? To provide answer to this question, is simple, light is to dispel darkness. Darkness cannot remain where there is light. Nothing can hinder the light from shining, Jesus said; “… a city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.” Problems cannot hide you, family cannot hide you. Darkness cannot remain when the light is turned on. As a light, you are a problem solver, no matter the magnitude of the probl...

This topic may look unrealistic, a man to rob God, yet, it’s not far from the truth. Man whom God created and gave dominion over all things after creation in Genesis 1:28 (Makes sure you read it with understanding) turned to be robber to his Maker, God I know you may be questioning, how can a man rob God, the owner all everything? Yes, God owns everything but He still demand something from us as the act of worship and appreciation to Him. Man robs God in tithe and offering. Now, what does the Scripture mean by this words; “Will a man rob God?”. Man may be wondering, when did I rob God? But listen, God said you have robbed Him. In Malachi 3:8, the Bible said; “Will a man rob God? Yet ye said, wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.” Our tithe and offering is a symbol of appreciation to God and we must not neglect it when we are serving God. He is happy when we pay our tithes and offerings to Him. I am motivated to write this short post because,...

Great questions always require thoughtful and wise response. You cannot really know what you have gotten in life until you are given assurance to live. What a question, great question for that matter, “…Lord, are there few that be saved?” That was a question thrown at Jesus in Jerusalem. Human beings always look for ways of redemption but are not ready to obey the terms and conditions associated with redemption, what an awful experience? The above question was followed up with a thoughtful and wisdom-based response from Jesus; “Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.” Luke 13:24. Our redemption and deliverance are within us and it cannot come to us on it will, we must seek for it with all our heart before we can obtain it. Many are looking for a place where they can be save without knowing that the preparation of their heart is the most essential required of them by the Lord Jesus, when your heart is right with God,...

God is always ready to give answer to our request whenever we called upon him in prayer but unfortunately is not all the prayer that God answers because it lack some virtue that will easily attract God’s presence and ingredient that will make it work. Sometimes, the result to our prayer fail because our perfidious nature which God hates and he wants us to enjoy our Kingdom right anyway and anytime and in every situation. Then, if God so desire that we enjoy our inheritance why then is the answer to our prayer stalls? This is what we are looking at in this post so that you will know why you didn’t get answer to your prayers and update your spiritual life and make amend where necessary. 1. Sin: Sin is a heavy barer between us and God thereby hindering our prayer from getting to God. “Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy , that it cannot hear; But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sin ha...

Trouble is one of the things that we must face in life. Life is built in trouble and challenges, those who are successful are those who defended their faith and conviction jealously. In this short post, I am urging you to defend your faith no matter what you may be passing through in life. Know that, challenges and trouble are meant to sharpen our conviction in Christ and our quest to make heaven. Heaven is not for the feeble minded people; rather, it is for those that are strong in faith. Faith makes us stand in the days of adversities. Your faith cannot work until you put it into action. Let’s take close look at the life of Job. What are the things that made him stand? Why his later end did became greatly than his former (Job 42:12-15)? The answer is simple; Faith. Job defended the faith which was ones delivered unto the saints judiciously (Jude 1:3). Job 2:9-10, told us more about this man, Job, he knew how to defend his faith and integrity despite the pressure from his own wif...

2 Corinthians 5:1-3, “For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven, if indeed, having been clothed, we shall not be found naked.” Those who are born from above, long to be there. Whatever you have been destined for as a Christian, to be a business tycoon, to have a settled family, to be rich, successful, healthy, your first destiny is Heaven. Heaven is our home, our resting place, our abode. If you are looking for Heaven here on earth, no problems poking you, nothing punching or disappointing you then you are thinking and working against the Scripture in John 16:33. Those who are destined for Heaven are not satisfied by the things of the world but look beyond them. Those who are heaven-bound do what the best do, not what the rest do. When money and blessing comes, they are able to ...
